I love Debussy's use of the whole tone scale. I know this song pretty well. It reminds me of La Cathedrale Engloutie but not quite as dramatic.
I love your use of dynamics in this piece. It really sounds like you have embraced this piece and made it your own. Is that you all live? You have a great sound but the room sounds like it was a bit large and was eating up some of the sound (could also be the way mp3's and other audio transfers start eating up the highs and lows). Have you considered doing a studio rendition of this piece? I'm going to listen to more of you. Thank you very much for sharing your talent with us.

Did you notice the GIANT mistake? Haha.
It is live; the room was really huge, you're right.
And thanks so much!

Yes, I did but it didn't detract from the performance so I didn't mention it.

Very pretty. You really get that floaty dreamy quality, while still moving things along. (BTW--I wouldn't even have noticed the little Schoenberg moment if you hadn't mentioned it!)

This is amazing and rich and beautifully expressive. In my dreams I play like this, but only there. What a gift to play this way in real life!!!! I like the big room, it makes the recording sound like it's echoing through the sky.

I'm being inadvertently edumacated here. Never really listened to any Debussy. This is great, I'm amazed at your playing. I've got no language to use to comment on this stuff; but I love listening to it.

I'm a bit like Kingo/Halaka (boy that's a scary thing to write). I do not know the work of Debussy at all and your interpretation has opened a door for me and made me want to know more. for the

you express more passion and feeling into it
the right notes are accented high and low at the right tempo and beat
very beautifully done

You are to good for dmusic! I can only pray that my daughter can play this well someday. I almost noticed the goof, but it was more like that moment in Matrix when Neo saw the cat twice. I didn't really think about it, until you pointed it out.

Like some of the others who commented, I'm not really schooled in this type of music, but I think this is brilliant and I love the emotion and thoughfulness of your playing.
